Meet the Cuttlefish!

A mesmerizing creature of the sea, the cuttlefish captivates with its shape-shifting abilities and keen intelligence.

Found in temperate and tropical oceans worldwide, these Cephalopods possess an extraordinary knack for camouflage. Their unique morphology includes large, expressive eyes and a porous cuttlebone that aids in buoyancy control.

Habitat

Found in the eastern Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea, the North and Baltic seas, and near northwestern Africa, cuttlefish inhabit shallow parts of coastal waters, typically near reefs.

Food

These masters of disguise feed on other mollusks, shellfish, fish, octopus, worms, and even other cuttlefish.

Predators

Their main predators include dolphins, sharks, larger fish, seals, seabirds, and other cuttlefish.

Special Skill

To evade predators, cuttlefish transform their skin’s colour and texture, mimicking their surroundings.
