Ocean Wise Ambassador – 2022 Ocean Bridge Cohort

A bit about me:

I am a red head who has a bad case of wanderlust and a passion for living life to the fullest!

In 2021, I earned a Master of Science degree in Material Culture & Artefact Studies with Merit from the Department of Archaeology, University of Glasgow (Scotland, United Kingdom). While abroad, I travelled by ferry to the Northern Isles of Orkney and Shetland; said hello to ‘Nessie’ –the Loch Ness monster; and marvelled at the Three Sisters of Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands!

In my free time, I enjoy scrapbooking and practicing yoga.

My future plans include: becoming fully fluent in German; earning a PhD in Museum Studies; and, if I can overcome my fear of open water, becoming a certified PADI Open Water Diver!

What gets me out of bed in the morning?

Sugar! It is no secret that I have a sweet tooth! A warm mug of hot chocolate does wonders to awaken me; however, what motivates me on a daily basis is my aspiration to be an inspiration to others. I shine at my brightest when overcoming adversity. Leading by example, it is my goal to always be encouraging others to smile and have the courage to follow their dreams.

A fun fact about me:

I have an International Pool Lifeguard certificate from the ILS (International Life Saving) Federation – which allows me to lifeguard on a pool deck anywhere in the world!
