When picking up your groceries, consider buying your dry goods in bulk – they’ll last a long time, make meal prep easier and you don’t need to worry about all the extra packaging that comes with smaller bags or boxes. Want to start buying in bulk but don’t know where to start? Try looking up where the zero-waste and bulk stores are in your community and find out what kinds of containers they accept (usually reusable, sealable containers are necessary). Finally, a use for all those cute jam jars you’ve been hoarding!

Ocean Wise is based in the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We work across Turtle Island and beyond, supporting Indigenous peoples in their vital work on ocean conservation and biodiversity whenever possible or as we are invited to.
